The General Federation of Women's Clubs is an international women's organization dedicated to community improvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service. Founded in 1868, the GFWC has been instrumental throughout the years in the establishment of Child Labor Laws, The Juvenile Court System, The Pure Food and Drug Administration, 75% of America’s Public Libraries, mandatory seat belts, the lighting of our city streets, and many other important national and local projects. Today our special emphasis is preventing Domestic Violence.
